The Old Chapel

The Old Chapel, Cirencester, in the Conservation Area. 

A conversion of a Catholic church to Architect’s own first office, by the river in Cirencester. Structural repairs or works, new roof, removal of petrol tanks (the building had been a garage in the interim), new floors, windows and services. The building include hight levels of insulations, energy efficient equipment and specially commissioned stained glass. The Chapel Was the first Catholic building in Cirencester when Catholicism was re-legalised in 1832. The building sits next to the river Churn and is on the site of the old Roman Gates to Cirencester.
